Hello, I'm Aleks and here's my story
15 years ago, I began my career as a finance and risk analyst. One of my early jobs was to take company vitals at a bank—that is, cash flow, profit and loss, balance sheets, and so on. I would soon learn a hard lesson: companies that appear perfectly healthy one year can fail spectacularly soon after.
A surface-level glance at a company will seldom tell you what’s really going on at a company. The key, I learned, was to go deeper, investigating delicate internal dynamics that can make or break a business—feedback loops, work patterns, communication habits, relationships between founders, and much more.
Realising this motivated me to broaden my horizons beyond the banking sector. In 2014, I joined the Innovation Management and Entrepreneurship Masters program at the Manchester Business School. There, I gained a new perspective on business innovation and, more importantly, joined a vibrant network in the UK.
In 2016, I moved to Berlin, where I have since worked in fintech and business analytics. While I’ve come a long way since my days in risk and finance, I still find myself digging beneath the surface—often deeper than my job description requires. This has let me help companies reduce onboarding time by 60% or save 2mln in revenue.
Today, as a business optimisation consultant, I take a holistic approach to identify growth opportunities hiding beneath the surface—and this means locating fault lines at all levels of a company.
Now I want to dedicate my experience to a wider mission: helping tech leaders take their businesses to another level by fostering the power of process improvement, creativity, and empathic communication.
